I wouldn't necessarily include oil, but tires, exhaust systems (even regaular aftermarket replacement), and maybe even suspension and wheels (changes heigth of car above roadway) would throw all these out the window.
Not even including the fact that the test surface does not match any standard public highway surface. The technicians doing these tests demand that all witnesses be absolutely silent, yet vehicle performance testing (tires squealing, etc.)is still being conducted on adjoining tracks! Maybe these other sounds can be filtered out, but it seems very strange to me.
