I'm not trying to bash GS. They are awesome, truly. I just think they charge too much for shipping. I think am allowed to say that. My poly mount came in a small yellow padded envelope and weighed less than two pounds. I looked at my invoice... I was actually charged $11.99 for Ground shipping via UPS to Connecticut. When I checked out it said it would be $10.97 but "charges are only estimated and may vary slightly." You'd think they'd over estimate...

As a point of reference I bought a set of FOUR used Saab floor mats and had them shipped to me from PA. The package was large, and much heavier, and the postage on it said $6.xx.

If someone from GS is reading this, I would suggest implementing a free ground shipping option for orders over $50 or something, like eEuroparts does. I had a cart full of brakes (rotors and pads) for my 9-5 at GS not too long ago. I knew the parts were each a few dollars more than eEuro but didn't mind so much if it was going to a family-run Saab parts place (more power to them). Then I went to check out with over $200 in parts and my shipping estimate (probably still underestimated) was through the roof. Sorry, I cleared my cart and ordered through eEuro.

On a separate but more recent occasion I was all set to order the upgraded bigger Saab intake for my 9-5. Again, I had it all set in my cart at GS and found the shipping for the $26 part was $16.10. That's $42 for a molded plastic tube. Again, over at eEuro I added the tube, an oil filter, oil plug and washer, air filter, and a new yellow washer fluid reservoir top (mine broke) for a grand total (free shipping) of $52.00. That's a lot of stuff for $10.00.

I can live with the $11.99 shipping cost on the poly mount. Not a big deal in the big picture. I don't have any idea of specific numbers (overhead and stuff) but I know GS would get a TON more of my business if they had lower shipping costs and/or a free option past a certain spending limit.
