The ones sold by Saab and the ones sold by Thule mount to the car differently. The genuine Saab bars (presumably made by Thule) do not rest on the paint surface of the roof. All the weight is borne by the holes in the roof sill. The ones sold by Thule rest on the roof, and are partially located and secured by using one of the pair of holes over each door.
It's up to you which you like. Here in the US, the Thule set for the 9-5 will cost more than double what the Saab bars cost. The difference may not be so great in Sweden.
The Thule bars offer you the option of getting some very wide load bars (up to nearly 2m!), while the Saab bars are a fixed width that fits within the roof.
Almost any of the Thule accessories that fit on the Thule rectangular bars will fit the Saab bars, including the bar extensions. The only constraint is the width between the "feet" on the bars.
Just last week, I used a very old Thule bicycle carrier, and a nearly as old rack carrier on a set of brand new Saab bars for my 9-5 sedan.
