Subject: TSB 210-2486 ed. 2 New routing of belt circuit
The attached TSB addresses the routing of the belt circuit on 1999-2004 9-5 models.
Previously, the OE style long serpentine belt had been discontinued and it was necessary to remove the top belt pulley and install the later-style shorter belt on earlier 9-5 models. Some owners of these early cars complained of a vibration on start-up or at idle with the later style belt.
The OE style longer belt is now available as a spare part, allowing the early cars to keep the original style belt/pulley set up.
