This is an easy repair. Do a search here and you will find step by step instructions. I did mine. Sent it to BBA-reman for repair from CA to MA. I used a plastic bag and tape to cover the exposed solenoids and drove the car for a week or so until the ABS controller came back.
I would go with the repaired one because they bench test it thoroughly and guaranty it.
you take out the battery, 3 bolts for the battery base. move the fuse box aside and you can get to everything easily.
