Need details on retrofitting ventilated seats - help! Posted by Saabpilot [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I've posted this question before but am looking for some specific help on this issue.
Car is a 'new to me' 2003 9-5 Aero Wagon. I purchased used ventilated front seats from a 2003 sedan. I bought them from a very reputable, nationally known Saab place and they were very sure my existing wiring harness would have the receptacles for the switches buried somewhere in the dash. I have the entire center radio stack out of the car. I cannot locate any receptacles for the ventilated seat switches.
Has anyone actually done this upgrade? Was your car pre-wired and if so, where were the receptacles hiding? If it was not pre-wired, what did you do?
I'm guessing if I can find the pin-out for the seat connector under the seat, I can make my own wiring harness and just solder on to the pins on the back of the ventilated seat switches. I have a copy of WIS, but I cannot locate a wiring diagram that pertains to the ventilated seats.
Anyone with any concrete info, please help out! Thanks!!
