After experiencing the accident, I truly believe that this could have been a much worse accident if a SAAB wasn't involved. Sorry, no pictures, but here's a description for anyone who would like to know. I went to get a few belongings from the console. I guess since it was snowing so bad I didn't really realize the true extent of the damage. My rear bumper is basically non-existant. The trunk was completely shoved in about 3 or 4 feet, but miracuously the rear window did not shatter. Another SAAB safety design? My hood now begins where it would normally be the middle. Basically, the front end begins where it'd normally be the middle. My passenger side airbag deployed from the impact of the full size Blazer blasting me, and the front door is pushed in about a foot and a half. Why didn't my front airbags go off? Maybe becuase I was stopped when rear ended?? Sorry if too much detail, but this facinates me in some way, although I'm sad my car is dead. An update: the rental agency traded the Grand AM for a Daewoo Leganza. What the hell is this?! Never heard of one until now, but what a little tuna can. I take delivery of my new [SAAB 9-5 SEV6] on Saturday.
