There is no one bulb for everything... Posted by Larry West [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: interior light bulb source??, scott k, Thu, 27 Aug 2009 07:52:00 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Unfortunately, each device was purchased from a different vendor, and they each use their own bulbs.
The instrument cluster lights (there are 34 of them) come in three different types. 32 of one type, one for the alternator light, and a different one for the odometer.
The lights switch uses another type of bulb, as does the fog light switch, the SID, the ACC, the auto trans console selector, and the heated/ventilated seat switches. Some have a green coating/cover, some don't and the green filter is in the device.
Some have had success in sourcing the actual bulbs from a place like Radio Shack, then soldering them into the holders.
Best bet is to go to a site sponsor for most of the bulbs. The instrument cluster lights don't need to be the expensive ones. They are expensive because they come with the plastic base, but you don't need to replace the plastic base.
