wailing alarm Posted by Larry West [Email] (#1140) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Larry West) on Wed, 2 Sep 2009 19:20:47 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ok, so my 2002 never did this, but my 1999 LPT is wailing the alarm at odd moments.
I've read a lot here about it, and I suppose I'll have to take care of the siren (or its batteries) one way or another.
But for those that this has happened to, I have a question:
Does the siren wail for only 5-10 seconds and then stop of its own accord? That's what mine does. I wasn't sure it was my car, until I tested the panic function the other day. Just a few minutes ago, it went off, wailing for less than 10 seconds, barely enough time to recognize it, and start looking for the key...
I guess the only way to shut it off completely is either Tech 2 or removing the siren...
