V6 Intake Seals - Non-Acidic Vaseline??

After waiting more than a week to accumulate all the Banjo bolt seals, o-rings and gaskets etc., I hope to finally finish putting my 1999 SE V6 back together after much DIY work to replace thermostat, re-seal the oil cooler lid, replace the radiator and major coolant hoses.
My question is about the WIS recommendation to use "non-acidic vaseline" to coat the molded ring seals that are in the intake manifold stack. I asked for acid-free vaseline a several autoparts stores and they looked at me like I was some kind of pervert!
Even a couple pharmacists had no idea if regular Vaseline brand petroleum jelly is non-acidic. No info on the Vaseline website re: its relative acidity, which I am sure must be near neutral consindering people smear it ALL over their skin and incl. infants.
Has any one found a vaseline actually labelled as non-acidic or should I just use good ol' Vaseline I have lying around?
