The CPS failed on my V6 too, but while I was driving. It just shut the car off as if someone turned the key. I sat on the side of the road cranking and cranking and just as I was about to call for a tow, it started. It didn't throw a code but on my way home it crapped out again and did throw a code. Regardless of a code or not, you need a new CPS. If you're going to have it done by a Saab shop expect to pay about $212 (taken right from my invoice).
