I didn't time it, but I would guess about an hour to do one side, including rounding up jacks, tools and modifying the open end wrench. The other side should be quicker. Its just 2 bolts. Hopefully, the information I posted will save some time. Don't know why shop manuals don't list bolt/nut head sizes--I always write them down for next time.
I found the bad one by reaching under the car on a level surface (no torque on the sway bar) and wiggling the link. I found lots of play, in a direction parallel to the stud in the lower joint on the right side. After it was out, it became evident that the upper joint was also lose, but not as bad. The other side is OK for now, but I have another new one ready. I suppose you could also disconnect one joint, tie it up out of the way, then drive over bumps to see if the noise went away.
