I pull a 2,000 lb Casita with my 9-5 (see specs below). Get 15-20mpg. I had transmission cooler installed as well as EBC Green Stuff brake pads on the front. Will probably upgrade rotors next brake job. When towing only use 93 octane. Also have trailer brakes and anti sway bar installed. Performance is good while under tow. Torque band of the engine is excellent for towing. Just had Bilstein HD shocks installed on rear even though SAAB folks though I didn't need them. I feel more comfortable having replaced them. Have made several long trips. Spent last fall in NY, NH, VT, ME, VA, GA and all states in between. We live in Florida. Good luck and enjoy camping with your SAAB.
