turn signal fix (?)

i had posted awhile ago about my turn sigs doing wierd things (only the left side) like missing a cycle or two, not hearing the click, and finally failing completely. i did all the usual checks including the amber bulb change and even got another turn signal stalk / switch in case that was the problem. just as i was about to give up and put everything back together, the thing started working again! so after inspecting the plug, i noticed that it worked correctly when the plug wires were sort of folded back around and zip tied to the plug (to keep them from moving to the place where one of them looses contact). I'll have to open it up later and pinpoint the exact disconnect, but I wanted to post my findings to add to the list of things to check off while addressing turn sig failure.
you don't realize how significant they are until they stop working!!
cheers,
scott
