That's too bad. The Moog ball joints I got had the groove all the way around like the OEM ones. The flange does rotate, but it is a little harder to get the bolts in the flange when you put the ball in the knuckle first, then mount the flange on to the A-arm. I did one side flange first, and the other side knuckle first. If you do the knuckle first, you don't have to push down on the A-arm as much.
