I wouldn't know what it looks like after 10 miles because I have never looked ;-) Let's just say it starts looking different around 3500, so I no longer wait the full 5K. The older Saabs had 7500 mile service intervals, so I had it changed every 3750. This one has 10K service intervals which does not divide nicely by 3750, so I went with the 5K. Since I don't pay much attention to the 10K thing any more, 4K seems to work well for now. I needed an oil change so I had the 90K service done, along with the PCV update, snow tires, etc. I had a new 9-3 AWD sport combi loaner, that's a story for another time. I love my 9-5 Aero!
