For a short time (and for reasons I'll leave out) I had lowered springs in the rear of the car (15mm or so) but the front was stock.
What I noticed was that the balance of the car was better in tight corners at slow speeds. Think autocross.
What I ALSO noticed is the oposite of what you are experiencing which led me to the same conclusion that you have. With more air entering underneath the car, the suction is diminished perhaps to the point of actual lift. With this setup, the car all of a sudden felt light and floaty at lofty speeds whereas before it would "hunker down" to the road.
I noticed the high speed stability return with stock springs and ride heights. Note that this was with a 9-3SE.
I'm hypothesizing that Saab engineers the car (including the ride heights, shape of the underside, air dam, etc) such that there is negative pressure underneath the car at high speeds which helps with the well known stability of Saabs at high speeds.
