I know the camshaft can spring forward or backwards fairly violently but it is not that big chance that the momentum will carry on forward enough to push a valve into the top of piston.
Are you sure it moved a full 180. That sounds like a lot. They usually only spring a 1/4 turn at the most.
I would just carefully move it BACK to proper position and install the belt.
