Your miles are quite high, which will affect trade-in value. Low mileage is considered to be under 12K a year, and high mileage is anything over 15K.

A year into the lease is the worst time to trade in . . . FWIW, our 2001 Aero, which we leased in Oct and "paid" MSRP for, minus incentives (the standard practice in Western Washington), has a residual of $20K and change after three years.

I think that what the other poster said is about right -- expect to get around $30K, which would mean you'd pay a penalty of $4K. Have the dealer pay off the lease, though (with you paying the difference to the dealer), as they don't have to pay sales tax, since it's not a sale to an end consumer (or, atl east this is the case in Washington).

From MSRP, Saabs tend to depreciate more rapidly than other car makes. From the "deals" that most people on this board seem to get (again, which are not available to us in Washington), Saabs tend to depreciate right about at the norm, which suggests that the MSRP is a bit higher than it should be.
