the most common cause of a small leak is the heater by-pass valve located in the center of the firewall at the back of the engine compartment. The O ring seal in the vacuum actuator wears and eventually leaks. When it does leak coolant, it falls on the exhaust system and cat so you don't see a puddle under the car. these valves last 60-100k miles usually. Search for posts on this board.
