Next thing to check is Fuel Pump Posted by jeff02 [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Starting problems even after CPS/CKP replacement, NOSREDNA, Sat, 12 Dec 2009 16:55:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi, Consider replacing the fuel pump if you have not already. It WILL go. You can get the pump only for $50 to $100 and replace it in the Fuel Pump Assembly. It does take a little bit of time, but not bad. Have done 3 now, got the cost down from $150 to $50. Need tool to spin the fuel pump retaining ring. I made one from large PVC pipe. Many posts here and on the net on how to do. Takes about 2 hours first time. Be careful with Plastic Fuel Check valves at assembly. This may or may not fix the problem. Open up back seats and put ear against fuel pump circle door. Have someone turn the key to on. Should distinctly hear the pump for a few secs, if not, that is the problem.
