I just put Bilsteins on the rear too... Posted by Savary [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Front strut - rear shock question, Paul in ABQ, Thu, 17 Dec 2009 16:42:32 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Just two days ago, I still have the stock front struts, 95,000 on the odometer.
Wish i would have changed the rear shocks sooner.
The ride is noticeably better, and the rear doesn’t dip on acceleration like before.
I also added a 1.4" spring spacer to get the ride height up to spec.
Koni FSDs are suppose to be nice, but way too expensive.
I got Bilsteins at partsgeek for $85 each
Saab improved the suspension in 2006. So I also changed the rear shock rubber upper bushings. The part numbers changed and I thought SAAB may have changed the durometer. It only cost and extra $15.
