Water pump done!

Got under the hood of my '01 lpt wagon and swapped out water pump, lower rad hose, and thermostat. At 120k miles the pump bearings were sounding pretty dry, it was leaking a little, and there was a tiny bit of play in the bearing.
I was a little worried about the pump after reading some stories, but really it is all pretty easy - there is just a lot of it! Lots of pieces to remove and replace, but everything is generally easy to reach.
I used the document at
http://www.scribd.com/doc/23134799/Water-Pump-Replacement
and the WIS instructions. About 5 hours of pretty casual bolting and unbolting.
Handy things to have:
24" 3/8" drive extension with socket and Torx bit all taped together to remove V clamp on turbo inlet.
10mm flex head gear wrench
cable operated hose clamp pliers
worm gear hose clamps to replace the spring clamps on the lower rad hose. The replacement Mackay hose is thicker than the OEM and the original clamps won't fit.
