Ventilated vs regular seat comfort

Am considering buying an '07 9-5 Aero that has the features that we want. It also has ventilated seats, but the car is 500 miles away so it's not practical to go sit in it to try them out. Our '99 9-5 SE had great regular seats, and we want seats in the '07 that are as good. We drove an '07 Anniversary Edition and thought those seats (non vented) were good, but not quite up to the standard of the '99.
The question: Are the ventilated seats as comfortable as the regular seats (ignoring the ventilation feature)? If the consensus is yes, then I'll spring for the air fare to go check the car out.
Having really good seats is important for us because we're prone to crank out more than a thousand miles in a single day on some trips.
