January 2010 - Purchased a throttle body for a 1999 Jaguar VDP from Jaytan Industries in December 2009. The initial throttle body arrived at the mechanics shop and was installed. The exact same errors appeared on the mechanic's computer. I had been advised about using reman parts but ignored their advice. I called Jaytan industries and spoke with Penny. After giving me the run-around for some time, the owner finally called and said he would do what was necessary to make it right. I asked him to send overnight a refurbished throttle body that HAD BEEN CHECKED and worked properly. The part arrived in two days and was installed at and additional cost of $192. I asked Jaytan's owner to reimbursement me for this additional cost because Jaytan had sent a not working part. The owner agreed and I sent him back his throttle body. Since returning the throttle body to Jaytan, I have not been able to reach Jaytan and have not received my $192. There are other companies that charge less than the $699 I paid. You can get a throttle body for $450 at many other shops. I would recommend that you pass on using Jaytan Industries. Will keep you updated if I receive payment from Jaytan but I am not holding my breath.
