other than on the edge of the working surface. It was actually zinc chromate plating or something like this. Obviously the working surface has no platintg - but it does not rust that much due to constant polishing (some complicated material science is there).
The type of steel also makes a big difference in corrosion resistance - but it is hard to know what you get in advance. I have unplated Zimmermans on my 9-5 both on front (4 years) and in the back (2.5 years). the fronts are rusted too but in much beter shape than the rears. On the rears the rust forms thick flakes everywhere. It speads under the working surface like it speads under paint - a thin surface layer is not rusted but it "bubles up" because of the rust underneath. I have seen in on the cheapest aftermarket rotors before and was very dissapointed to find it on fairly expensive Zimmermans. Needless to say I will never buy Zimmerman rotors again.
Ebay has a big selection of plated rotors - usually cross drilled but some can be requested plain for the same price.
