New suspension ordered Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Thu, 4 Feb 2010 17:08:51 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I succumbed to temptation and ordered a SAAB Road Holding Kit for my car. Front struts are finally showing weakness and rear shocks are approaching end of life - again. The price of the kit is only slightly more than the cost of just the replacement OEM dampers! The kit includes the Aero spec dampers, Aero spec springs, and the old Aero spec sway bars, as well as some miscellaneous rubber bits and pieces for the suspension.
I contemplated an Eibach Pro System. That would have been $100 more than the SAAB kit for springs and dampers only, leaving me with old Base model sway bars - which doesn't sound like a good combo to me. Combining the Eibach with current Aero spec sway bars would be overkill for my style of driving.
266,000 miles on my car. Guess I won't be able to brag about still having original front struts for too much longer.
