I'd check out the car and then buy it. It's really nice to drive and doesn't shake at an idle like the 4 cylinder. It's a really interesting engine as it's a 54 degree V6, made in England. There is lots of low-end torque. I've got a 2002 V6 and love it. My car had a rough start when I bought it used from the SAAB Dealer but it had the CPO warranty so most issues were covered. I had almost everything that's been mentioned go wrong but since then it's been really great. I don't want the car to ever wear out because I enjoy driving it a lot. If the turbo goes sour, you can buy the CHRA (center housing rotating assembly) on Ebay new for $400 and install it yourself. Oil cooler leaking is a big job to repair yourself as well as the cam-belt, tensioners, and idlers. If you do a cam belt, make sure the tensioner and idlers are also replaced.
