Odd periodic symptom in my 1999 9-5 V6...
Twice in the last week, I heard, but mostly felt, a rumbling/buzzing sensation thhrough the gas pedal under my foot. Both times were at lower parking lot speeds.
No change in tone or intensity with engine speed so I don't think it's anything driven by a belt like the alternator or power steering pump.
Also no change with speed of car over the ground. In fact it persisted while the car was stopped... with the transmission in gear or in park.
It's not a grumbling cabin fan since I turned the climate control completely off too.
Again, the most distinctive thing was the clear sensation of the buzz at the gas pedal through to my foot. Nothing similar on the brake pedal at all. I wonder if the electric throttle body actuator is about to fail? Is it a stepper motor of some kind?
Thanks,
Reg
