Bad day for my Saab! Not just wiper blade :( Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] (#1216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jgARC03SW) on Wed, 17 Feb 2010 18:15:27 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Ok I posted before for help on rain x latitude wiper blades - supposedly one of the top ones but it doesn't snap into place for me.
More importantly I checked my coolant level this morning and it was a little low. My scantech CBV was dry though I did that job in the fall if you recall. I topped it off and went to work.
So I have the garage back to myself as my wife is out at her play rehearsal. I jck up the car to do my own oil change for the 6th time and the plug screw hex head shaved off in my rachet. Can't get it off it's round now. It is a fairly new screw from eeuroparts bought last summer I think so only 2 or 3 oil changes with it and I ha replaced the copper washer each time. When I checked under the hood to remove the oil fill plug in the Saab v6 cover the coolant level was still good.
Also when getting back out from under the car I see a reddish stripe on my arm. Didn't look like blood so I go back under the car look up and see mostly caked orangish liquid - I assume this is the water pump location right next to the oil pan and exhaust pipe? Pic to follow once I get it off my iPhone.
2003 v6 approaching 110k on the clock :-/
I assume this is not diy if I ant even change my oil right. How much am I looking at ?
