I have the same vehicle - went away for a few weeks, came back, and it would not started even though it rev'd the regular way.
I recently determined, after tuning up most of the system, including the fuel pump and the electric side, that it was the fuel pressure regulator that had given up.
Over time, the fuel pressure within the system decreased, so that after a few weeks there was none until the pump had been turned over many times.
Check it out, before you change the fuel pump. as for the windows and steam, if you have been sitting in the snow for a long time, there will be moisture in the blower passages that needs to be expelled, once the vehicle warms up...
good luck.
