I did it with car off, lights off. No need to disconnect battery. On the passenger side, rmove the rubber airhose and MAF hoseclamps and move out of the way for access (other side removing battery box cover is sufficient). Use of a mirror and flashlight will help. mark the top position on the black access cap for ease in reinstalling it with a piece of masking tape. rotae to remove it. Remove the wire retaining clip that holds bulb in place then remove the electrical connector to the bulb ballast at the bottom (glad you got the mirror by now) I had to pry mine off gently with a small screwdriver...it is a tight fit in there hand hard to get your hands on it. Now pull the bulb straight out. Reverse to install. Dont get your fingers on the new bulb, but you already knew that. Hardest part was reattaching the connector to the bulb, as there is so little clearance and the lead is so short.
Now I am trying to figure out how to replace the citi light bulbs.
