I am considering a 9-5 wagon. The dealer lent me a demo for a day to see how I like the car, etc. It's a 2002 ARC. I currently drive an Audi A4 V6.
Impressions:
*Solid chassis, quiet ride.
*I like the ventilated leather seats. They are a nice thing here in Phoenix. It's somewhere in the low 90's today and I could tell they were working. However the fan is fairly loud. My guess is it's under the seat.
*The A/C doesn't seem to blow as cold as the Audi, but it's acceptable.
*The radio seems to be missing something in the midrange. Could be a preference in the settings.
*Noticeable torque steer under 'spirited' acceleration.
*Brakes seem to be missing something.
*Excellent visibility.
*Cupholders could be better placed, but with ignition next to brake, I understand the constraints.
*Great cargo space.
*Excellent ride and suspension. Little body roll.
*Nice torque throughout RPM range.
*Cheap looking faux wood on dash. I was not impressed by the A/C ducts. I looked over a used 2001 model and the plastic over the vents has already started to turn a pasty white color. Could this be from using armor all or other cheap treatments? I think I would choose the metal look over the wood finish. It's just too 'fake' looking.
*I would like more of a body contouring seat. I guess in sweeden where one would be wearing more clothing, etc. It would take up more of this space.

Do I look like more of a candidate for the Aero model? Will there still be issues with some of my concerns? How much of a difference is there with the ARC and Linear?

Thanks,
Luis
