1999 9-5 SE lpt 146k mi
when turning right I can hear something loose sounding coming from the driver front wheel area. dont think it's the bearing as it's not a constant roar those usually make. although at 146k mi it is still the original bearing (right one was replaced way back). and it's not the clicking usually associated with CV joints. sounds more like a "bouncey" low freq rattling. could it be the strut? a bushing loose? overall ride is wonderful still. the old press down on fender test shows tightness in rebound of that strut.
for quite some time (year or more) I will say that I have noticed a similar yet less noticeable sound coming from that area from time to time while just driving along even straight at about 20-30mph. but tha has never been consistent. comes and goes even on same road. maybe weather, maybe temp? who knows.
I know this is a tough request without hearing it but any ideas for me to investigate and method to test would be great. thanks!
