I've got a '99 9-5 sedan w/oem aero springs and bilstein shocks/struts.
I'm trying to keep the firmer ride, but get a heavier duty spring that could handle the weight of the car when full. I'm coming up on the 3rd set of oem springs, so I'm thinking it might be time to try something different. I'm not trying to lower the car more than it should be.
I blew out one of the bilstein's and they were kind enough to replace it under warranty, but I'm now clear that that spring was bad, and probably the culprit.
I've replaced the bushings, too. I do pull a utility trailer occasionally, but the car really can't handle any weight. I was debating putting in wagon springs, but it's pretty well documented that they have the same - or more trouble.
As I'm in a 1998 w/160k miles, I really don't want to get in crazy money, but I'd like to get things back up to height!
thanks,
matthew
