Even my wife noticed the difference........ Posted by MI-Roger [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Finally got the Road Holding Kit installed, TG, Mon, 5 Apr 2010 18:12:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
On an early evening ice cream run (enjoying our unseasonably warm 70+ degree temperatures) she commented that the car felt noticeably different from the passenger seat.
The difference is actually what I don't feel. If the right side tires encounter a dip in the road, I no longer feel any oscilation of the vehicle. Previously I would feel the dip, then a slight rocking to the left followed by a return to the right. Now, just the dip. The car is rock steady.
Rear shocks make their end of life known at around 100K miles with chatteirng of the back end in bumpy curves. The front struts apparently just slowly lose their dampening abilities without obvious changes in the car's behavior. I never had excessive bouncing of the front end when doing the bumper test for shock/strut failure but it is now apparent the old struts were dead.
