Mobil sez:
Mobil 1 High Mileage oils meet or exceed the following industry specifications:
5W-30: ACEA A1/B1, A5/B5
10W-30: ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 **
10W-40: ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 **
Mobil 1 (not "High Mileage")oils meet or exceed the following industry specifications:
0W40: ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 **
5W20: ACEA A1,B1
5W30: ACEA A1/B1, A5/B5
10W30: ACEA A1, B1, A5,B5
15W50: No ACEA Spec listed
My understanding is that the "gold standard" for Saabs from 2002 is the ACEA A3/B3, A3/B4 (marked with "**"), which is only the "regular" 0W40, the "High Mileage" 10W40 (what I've got in my 99 LPT now), and (new to me...) the "High Mileage" 10W30.
The "High Mileage" 5W30 is A1/B1, A5/B5. not knowing what, exactly, all that means, it could be better, but I'm not sure.
If I can locate a jug of the 10W30 High Mileage, I'll get that for my next oil change in my '99 9-5 LPT.
