Went to go see it yesterday. After driving through the lot and not spotting it, I parked and asked a salesman. They sold it 20 minutes before I came. What a bummer. They took it in on a local trade from someone who was a CFO for one of the big companies in the area and what I was told was that it was traded in for a brand new A8. AND above all, it was a manual, which is somewhat hard to come by here. Sounds like it was previously loved.
Before I would even consider buying a 9-5 from before 2003, I would definitely check for PCV and have the pan dropped. There's absloutely no reason not to. I was also leery of the low milage coming from short trips.

Back to the waiting game!
