If you find a friendly mechanic or dealer who is handy with the Tech-II you can remove the siren, set the alarm to use the horn instead of the siren, and delete the alarm siren from the list of "Checks" it does when you start it. Then you still have alarm functionality and no "Service Theft Alarm" message. I have not had this done personally but I have heard of it being done.
