then later in my morning drive my 1999 9-5 starts to lose this jet power. i come to a red light, stop, and when that light turns green, i expect to really get going...but no...i hit the gas, the engine revs, and the boost i had in the morning is gone and all the other cars that were behind me are now driving off in front of me.

in sport mode sometimes i feel like i'm flying...i get the engine revving to maybe 4000 rpm and i'm at 50 before i know it. but when i come to a red light, stop, and go at green, suddenly that awesome boost is gone. can't get the rpm needle past 2500.

so why is it all good and powerful to drive first thing in the morning but then suddenly lagging and inefficient? i'm wondering about my air filter, exhaust, and of course, my transmission. (104,000 miles...4 cyl...automatic)
