A bit early to tell - but... Posted by NJ-PA Don [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: But how do they work?, LesH, Thu, 6 May 2010 06:53:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am not a "spirited" driver, but I like a firm feel. The Bilstein HDs are so much firmer than the old shocks and struts that I will have to take a while to evaluate. I was looking at Koni FSDs but they are not available and the cupped tires were driving me insane, so I opted for the HDs. The old shocks had nothing left at 66K miles and the fronts would bottom out over big bumps.
So things are much improved, but the tightness will take some getting used to, and I suspect that the ride will soften up a bit.
I can't tell yet about the new Conti DWS tires. The firm shocks may offset a bit of softness in the tires. I will post again in a month or so.
