Koni FSD - Left Rear Kaput After 5 Mos.

I'd last posted April 5 regarding my FSD experience on my 199 9-5 V6. Over the last weeks, I've noticed some suspension & handling behaviour that indicatd my 5 month old left rear FSD shock was soft. I was changing out my rear springs this evening (more on that in another post soon) and sure enough, the left rear Koni FSD shock has almost no rebound damping at all.
According to Koni's description, the FSD Frequency Sensitive Damping action only applies to the rebound stroke, so it appears the FSD "device" has failed in that shock.
Luckily, I had an old set of OEM shocks lying around that I'd removed years ago. I put one of those in with the new coil springs so I am okay until I can get a new FSD under waranty from Koni.
