taking the Aero plunge; oil filters

If all goes well, the wife likes the color "in person", and the dealer doesn't play any last minute numbers games, I will be purchasing an 02 Aero wagon this weekend, due in large part to what I've learned on this board (test drive had something to do w/ it too). This will be my first Saab. But one key question remains. My religious practices involve frequent access to the oil filter, and I keep forgetting to examine the location of the filter on my trips to the dealer. Is it reasonably accessible for a competent DIY'er, or is it like some of these new cars ("new" to me is anything less than 10 years old), where various panels must be removed just to be able to have access with some special tool that only the dealer has? Also, any recommedations on appropriate filters for someone obsessed with oil changes (and likely to become more so with a turbo?)
thanks,
Dave G.
