found myself sitting in a 2001 aero lately and being i have no knowledge of this car ill be surfing the archives and posting issues when they arise.
after about 8 years maybe ill be knowledgeable enough to answer someone else's question, ohh cant wait for that day.
so while I'm saying hello ill also ask a question.
when the 2001 aero reached 1/4th of a tank of gas the engine lite came on. i had the codes pulled and got a reply that my gas cap is loose or in need of replacement. so i just bought another-one and thought the problem was finished. but it wasn't, the lite came back on 2 hrs after the new cap was installed. so i thought maybe its a sensor issue and filled the tank.
after filling the tank the lite remained on until i parked that night. in the morning after starting the car the engine lite turned off after driving 2 blocks and remained off until i reached 1/4th tank of gas at which time the engine light came back on. i repeated all the above with a full tank of gas and once again the motor lite turned off.
so question is whats the problem with the car when i reach 1/4th tank of gas?
i have another question but ill post another post to keep the situations separated. thanks in advance all
