Did he say he cannot fix the leaks and gave up or is it that he is trying to fix without getting to the right spot.
Before I remove the transmission to replace rear main seal (as he did)I certainly want to be sure that's where the leak is coming from.
With such a big leak it shouldn't be impossible to find it if the engine is cleaned out and maybe leakdye added to the oil.
Head gasket is a possibility but if he is working on Saab's he should know about that leak.
