Compressor is $544 at Eeuroparts, Drier is $50. I'd not be surprised if those were the prices direct from Saab.
Are you planning to do the work yourself? Don't expect a shop to be happy you saved a few bucks getting the parts on your own. They need to make money, too, and part of that money comes from charging you the retail price for the parts.
A Saab shop probably has to use Saab parts for warranty coverage. If it's an independent, you might be able to get lower prices by pointing them to Eeuro or other places. I'd definitely try that for the drier, but I'm not sure it's worth it on the compressor. Goodwill with your mechanic is well worth paying the upcharges!
