No connection between the two at all.
Transmission limphome is triggered most commonly by a mismatch between actual gear position, that indicated at the gear positions sensor, and that requested by the shift lever. Often caused by defective gear position sensor/neutral safety switch.
Trans Limphome forces the transmission to start off in third gear, much like winter mode.
Throttle body limphome is triggered by a mismatch between requested throttle position and actual position, often caused by defective throttle position sensor at the throttle body.
TB limphome solenoid will fire (CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK when ignition is turned on) and force the TB spring to lock the throttle cable to the throttle blade allowing the gas pedal to manually operate the throttle body.
Throttle body limphome reset will accomplish nothing for trans limphome...
