my 2000 aero had constant mid yellow only boost, and I had replaced the MAF, plugs and ignition cassette with no success.
Follwing a suggestion here, I unhooked the top hose on the BPC and plugged it. Immediate difference!
Tracing the hoses, it appears to be a semi rigid hose going to the purge valve and then intake pipe, leading to the throttle body. When I removed it from behind the throttle body and sucked into it, a valve snapped shut. When I blew into it, nothing happened and air flowed freely.
I would assume this is where the boost leak is. One of the blue plastic one-way valves must be broken or sticking. I see this set of hoses is over 200 bucks on saabsite, but can't we buy the one-way valves seperately?
For now, I put a plug and hose on the back of the throttle body, and the car runs fantastic again. No check engine light so far. May just leave it this way for awhile.
