'03 Aero loses drivers side A/C when recirc off

Hi everyone,
My '03 Aero wagon's A/C is acting up yet again. After losing all refrigerant, my local Saab dealer recharged it and said it was fine, only to find it was dead again after just 3 hours. $300 down the drain. I took it to my local Euro mechanic who does A/C work and they found a hole in a low pressure hose within 5 minutes of looking at the system. Replaced it, recharged, and voila...ice cold. Needless to say, no more dealer service for this car unless it's a 60K service.
NOW...the driver's side vents blow hot(ter) air than the passenger side when moving. I did a full test today in 92 degree temps in city and freeway driving.
1. At a stop, recirc on, both sides blow ice cold
2. On the move, recirc on, drivers side is cold at city speeds, cool at highway speeds, passenger side stays cold.
3. On the move, recirc off, drivers side not cooling regardless of speed, passenger side is cold.
Ran the HVAC diagnostic...getting no error codes. Clearly there is a blend door or fresh air flap issue on the drivers side, correct?
I'm taking it to Walter Wong (LA's best indie Saab guy!) this week for a P0100 code (MAF sensor)/Check Engine light anyway.
Any thoughts?
Paul H.
