Hi gang,
I've had some rather aggressive and strange tire wear that I haven't done anything about on account of needing new tires soon anway. I'm now ready to get a new set of tires but am wondering if I may need some suspension work.

Four months ago I had sway bars replaced, alignment and rotation. Mechanic remarked everything else on the front end is tight.

Since then, almost in front of my eyes, I've seen the outer 2 inches of my left front tire go bald...totally rounded off, no edge, just bald rubber.

The car is now unsafe to drive in wet weather as every little puddle sharply yanks it left. I also find myself power sliding sliding through curved on ramps and such.

Any idea whether this is an alignment issue or a suspension issue?


I threw out the computerized alignment printout, which in retrospect, I wish I hadn't done.

I had the work performed at this particular shop out of necessity, wasn't necessarily very reputable. The tire does not appear to exhibit excessive camber but I'm not sure this is selectable on the front susp?

Should I buy tires, have it aligned and drive or should have a mechanic check my front suspension?
